Tradition
The Jerome Classic is Canada’s longest-running track and field event. The event was first ran in 1964, when Harry Jerome used the meet to build towards medalling at 1964 Tokyo Olympics 100 metre dash, and has since hosted top Elite Athletes annually since 1984. New in 2024, the non-profit event organizers RUNVAN also introduced the Junior Jerome.
