The Women’s 200m is set to be one of the marquee matchups at this year’s Jerome Classic, featuring an exciting mix of Olympians, scholarship recipients, and rising stars ready to deliver a high-stakes sprint showdown at Swangard Stadium.

Headlining the field is Zoe Sherar, who clocked an impressive 23.14 to win the Women’s 200m at last year’s Jerome Classic. A Canadian Olympian known for her versatility in the 200m and 400m, Sherar’s powerful finish makes her a top name to watch once again.

Hot on her heels is Jacqueline Madogo, who finished just 0.06 seconds behind Sherar in 2024 with a time of 23.20. A rising Canadian sprint star, Madogo is known for her explosive starts and has been turning heads with her consistent progression on the national stage, winning the national title in 2023.

Also in the mix is Marie-Éloïse Leclair, the 2024 and 2025 Clement Scholarship recipient and standout sprinter from Simon Fraser University. Leclair proudly represented Canada in the 4x100m relay at the Paris 2024 Olympics and continues to rise through the ranks. The Clement Scholarship, presented by Achilles International Canada, supports top university athletes like Leclair in pursuing excellence both on the track and in the classroom.

Adding international flair is Kristina “KK” Knott, who had a standout showing at last year’s meet – winning the Women’s 100m in 11.64 and placing third in the 200m with a time of 23.42. An Olympian for the Philippines, Knott brings a wealth of international experience and sub-23 second speed, making her a serious podium contender once again.

With this mix of proven champions and emerging contenders, the Women’s 200m promises to be one of the most electrifying races of the night. Be there on July 15, 2025 at Swangard Stadium to witness the speed, the strategy, and the sprinting stars lighting up the Jerome Classic.

The action for the W 200m starts at 6:50pm. See schedule.
