Jerome Classic

The men’s triple jump makes its debut at the 2025 Jerome Classic and it arrives with a compelling Canadian storyline. Leading the charge are brothers Divine and Praise Aniamaka, two of the country’s most promising young athletes in the event.

Divine Aniamaka, is the 2023 Canadian U20 champion and a breakout performer this season. After recording a season best of 15.26m in 2024, he’s made a major leap forward in 2025 with a mark of 16.50m, one of the top jumps in the country this year.

His older brother, Praise Aniamaka, is a former Canadian U18 indoor record holder (15.00m) and continues to build on a strong foundation. He set a personal best of 16.49m in 2024 and has already posted 16.29m this season, showing impressive consistency. Together, the Aniamakas represent a rising force in Canadian triple jump, progressing side by side and pushing the national standard forward.

With a brand-new event and a wave of young talent leading the charge, the men’s triple jump is set to deliver a standout moment at this year’s Jerome Classic. Adding to the international flair will be Shemaiah James, a national champion for Australia.
