Power on Display: Women’s Shot Put Heats Up at the Jerome Classic 2025

The throwing circle will be one of the must-watch spots at the 2025 Jerome Classic as a powerhouse lineup of women’s shot putters go head to head at Burnaby’s Swangard Stadium.
Leading the field is Canadian record holder Sarah Mitton, 2023 World silver medallist and a two-time World Indoor champion (2024, 2025). After opening her season with a stunning 20.68m throw – the best in the world since 2013 – Mitton arrives in top form and ready to impress on home soil.
Representing Jamaica, Lloydricia Cameron brings international experience as a two-time Olympian and national champion. With recent throws nearing 18 metres, she’s ready to challenge the top of the podium in Burnaby.
Also representing Canada is Charlotte Bolton, a rising star in para athletics. The F41 shot put national record-holder and 2023 Parapan Am bronze medalist continues to push boundaries and exceed expectations.
With elite athletes from Canada, the U.S., and Jamaica, the women’s shot put at the Jerome Classic is shaping up to be an exciting event. Expect power, precision, and a few record-breaking moments as these incredible athletes take their shot.
